First of all id like to say hi to everyone here on the forum, just became a member today.

Anyway, I'm having an issue with my 92 Cherokee 4.0 engine hesitating on throttle. When im driving and give it more gas the rpm starts to go up normally,but then suddenly starts hesitating and loosing power. If I keep the pedal pressed down, it will hesitate for a while but then the rpm will go up normally again and the power comes back.

I have a brand new tps so thats not the issue. Can you guys help me figure this out?

 

How old are the plugs and wires? I've had bad wires cause nasty hesitation on mid-throttle. Might also check for vacuum leaks, especially around the MAP sensor.

 

Thanks Radi, I checked my wires and plugs, they look fine. I'll double check the vacuum lines today.
