Howdy all, anyone know any fixes to why I have to tap the gas to start my '88 even though it's injected. I wait till the fuel pump kicks off everytime, going to replace the fuel filter and see if that helps at all. Any input would be appreciated.

Clean as a whistle just did air filter and throttle body cleaning yesterday

 

Of my Tips, which have you completed? Not halfway, but completed.

 

2, 3, 5, 11 as well as a full tuneup and a cad delete. Going to ground refresh tomorrow after some degreasing, probably do a few more things. Haven't had as much wrench time as I hoped past 2 days

 

1 is a big deal. What were the results of 5?
I'm beginning to advocate doing 27 after having done a few C101 deletes and seeing the results.

 

I'm still kinda iffy on the 101 delete cause it's a rats nest lol. I'll probably do it this weekend. How hard could it be to cut and hard wire together

 

It's intimidating to some folks at first.
Then, when done, they're surprised at how easy it is. One wire at a time and sometimes there's no wire. No biggie.

Correct. Just opens the throttle butterfly and moves the TPS.

 

My 94 has a leaky injector, the extra air clears out the puddle of gas in the manifold. I have to go to the junk yard, and get some neon injectors when it warms up outside.

 

Try running a can of bG44K through the tank first.
