Default Preparing for winter

Up around where I live, we usually get more salt on the roads then snow. So far my xj has had no issues with rust, and id like to keep it that way! lol. So far I've applied por15 to the whole bottom( year ago). Are there any other ways to fight off rust?

Regular trips to the car wash is what I do.

1997 eh? Remove the plastic bumper caps and look around. I thought I just had floor problems but when I removed the panel in the cargo area I could see a massive pile of rust and mud sitting on the inside of that plastic cap. Quite the rot in there.

If you can I'd highly recommend a treatment like Krown (do you have that in the states?) to take care of the areas you didn't rip apart and hit with POR-15, like inside the rockers, frame rails, and doors.
