preheater hose ( renix ) that connects to the air filter box
mine is ripped on my 89 and i am thinking about removing it
any cons by doing it? and what needs to be done/plugged when i remove it?
will it pass smog without 1?

Its basically there to aide in warm ups feeds warm air into throttle body. I hear calis pretty strick pollution wise its only a few buck at auto parts.
