hi, new here!
i bought a 95 Cherokee country 4x4 a couple months back and since then, I’ve had issues with the windows. Originally I thought the window lock button was getting stuck, but I have noticed that if the driver door is open, the controls work effortlessly. Are there wires getting pinched or some other explanation?
Also, my lights no longer come on when I open the door and I have to turn it over to lock the doors whereas this wasn’t always the case. Another wiring issue?
Also wondering how to access the ground wire for the tail lights. They flicker and sometimes my brake lights will stay on after I shut it off and I have to press the brake again for them to go off.
Any help is appreciated, as we’re trying to fix as many issues as we can ourselves. Thanks!

For the doors, check the wires in the boot between the door and the body. Common problem. Dont cut the boot. Push it into the door, and unwrap the harness. For the brake lights, check the brake switch wiring since using the pedal turns them off. Sounds like a loose connection somewhere. Not sure on the taillight ground for 96, but for 97-01 it is under the passenger seat, of all places.

I think the taillight ground is behind the panel behind the rear tire, for the driver's side, and in that ridiculous location you already mentioned, for the passenger side.
