Power windows issue... another one
I know that there are plenty of threads there dealing with that issue, but I didn't find satisfactory explanation or fix.
I have seen the fix with rewiring the circuit but that looks like it is for more recent models than my 89
None of my power windows are working and I got the cherokee that way.... fuse/breaker (30A) seem to be good.
I refuse to believe that all motors are shot (but I may be wrong)...
I refuse to believe that all the switches went bad....
So my question is : if the main panel is bad, wouldn't I be able to use the other panels to open and close windows ? or does the front driver window HAS to be working to have all the others working as well ?
This is driving me crazy, so any insight will be appreciated.
I got the Cherokee to learn.... I am learning alright....

I just fixed mine in my 94ZJ. There is a rubber part going from the body to the door . I pulled that off and there were wires broken in there. Spliced them back together and bingo, it all works. Might work for you.

Thanks this is just what I wanted to know... so i guess i have a bit of testing of that to do before taking appart the wiring lol...
you guys have any easy idea to test that other than replacing the master switch ?
I mean I understand if it is bad I will have to find a replacement, but before spending money, how I can test ? is there a way ?

well I should know better....
so after checking each wire to make sure they were not broken in the middle, I pushed connections in, cleaned a couple of them...... and it works....
It does not work supper great and the windows are struggling, but a good cleaning / lube should take care of that
