Can anyone assist me and a detailed diagram of the power windows on a 98 Cherokee? My passenger window is broken and won't roll down. You can hear the motor moving and bind up. But you can push the glass down by hand if needed.

I think my regulator is broken after doing some searching. 120 dollars for the fix. Ouch. I am headed to the junkyard. Does anyone know if there the same from 87-01?

You need to invest in a set of FSM for your Jeep. They have just about everything you would need to know except modifications. They have diagrams for the electrical system and they have how to rebuild most every part of the Jeep. I found mine on eBay but some sites have them that you can download but that is a copyright infringement IMHO.

Stick with the standard formula for year seperations 87-90, 91-96, 97-01 and you will usually be alright.

Well we have a junk yard local it's called pull a part. They have 10 cherokees there right now. From 89-95. So i am sure i can get a window motor and regulator for dirt cheap.

Edit: i just check the pricing for it.

WINDOW REGULATOR W/MOTOR $17.22

What I told you here holds true on most every part. Or they will be universal if the year does not matter.
