Default Power steering question

I've looked at pumps and hose assemblies and neither one includes a pressure control valve. Where do you get a new one or are you supposed to use your old one?

Most new and reman pumps come equipped with the pressure valve. Are looking at particular pump?

No, but looking at the pictures of every pump on Rockauto, none of them show a pressure valve, plus years ago when I bought a NAPA pump for my wife's Caravan, it didn't come with one either. The pumps that show features don't say anything about one, they aren't listed separately, and aren't with the pressure hose kits. Next step is to go to auto parts stores and see if they come with the pumps or can be bought separately. The one on my WJ is original with 260K on it and it's starting to get tough to turn at idle when it's hot. It's about time to replace it, I think. Getting a pump at a junkyard is like a box of chocolates....if you know what I mean. Mine isn't leaking or groaning yet and the fluid is clean. I replaced the box 3 years ago.

All pumps on RockAuto for the WJ come with the valve. The valve is fastened into the pump's outlet with a big hex head. If you see the hex, that's the valve. It's usually plugged with a plastic cap.

I was that, but the pump on my WJ has an extension screwed into that fitting and the pressure hose screwed into that. That's why I assumed the extension WAS the pressure control valve. Anyway, I'll check with my mechanic.
