Default power steering pump removal HELP

What's the trick to get the pump off? I can't get it out because I don't have the hole in my pulley to get the bolts out.

The easiest way is once you get the pump and bracket out of the Jeep, is to remove the pulley.

You will need to rent or purchase the "power steering pully remover" kit, you will need this to perform your task.

It will be difficult for him to do this because the isnt much room to get the pully off while it is still attached.

I replaced my P/S pump the first day i got y jeep, and it wasnt fun. They wanted to sell me a new pulley with no holes, like OP's.
I declined, nothing wrong with mine.

Aforementioned pulley puller is a ***** to use, fyi

There are 2 bolts into the intake manifold and one into the idler pulley/belt tensioner assembly. All are 1/2". You can take the 2 top bolts off and then either remove the lower bolt, or the entire idler assembly which is bolted to the water pump. You can buy a 1/2" drive ratcheting wrench for about $13 at Lowe's to take the bolts out. Factory pulleys have holes in them making it more straightforward with a regular 1/2" deep socket and ratchet.
