Hey All,
I'm having a bit of an issue with my power steering pump. My high pressure pump hose rests on the side of the intake manifold. The top of the hose where it threads into the top of the power steering pump is also off. The top of the hose, which is metal, rests on the power steering pump body. The power steering pump pulley is also a bit too far back. Has anyone ever had to shim the power steering pump to make it sit further forward (towards the radiator)? It seems all these issues could be resolved if the whole power steering assembly(pump and pulley) could sit just a little further forward.

Your pulley is just pressed on the shaft too far. As far as your line, you can loosen the fitting at the steering gear and move the line off the intake. Or you can manipulate the steel line a bit without getting too crazy with it. You can rent a puller/installer from your local parts store to line your pulley up.

I replaced my high pressure hose with a new hose from some brand I can't remember. No matter how tight I made the nut on the gearbox side, it always rotated a little. Then I replaced the hose again, this time with a Sunsong hose, and everything lined up perfectly.
Also when I replaced my OE pump, the reman pump had a reservoir return inlet that was not positioned like the OE.
