Default Power steering problem

I recently broke off a bolt in my steering box and that was making it super hard to steer. I fixed that got new bolts but now it's still doing what it was before which was when I turn it feels like the front end is locked. The steering will get super tight then loosen then tight. Any advice would help

Are you talking about the backlash adjustment bolt on top of the box? Sounds like you need a new box
