Hey guys,

I've run into a bit of a hitch with my 91' Jeep Cherokee Limited. The factory installed power seats will not work at all - I know the motors are good because the person who sold the vehicle to me was able to plug a 12V battery into the seat connectors with some wire and make them work.

Of course I've checked the fuse - it's good. Any known issues with them?

Also, the digital compass/outside thermometer doesn't come on at all - fuse is also good.

Any suggestions? I'd appreciate the help!

 

check for current at the seat plugs with test light and check for ground in the seat plugs

 

I think you mean the overhead console for the temp and directional compass? Make sure you have a good "DOME light" fuse in there. Also pop the console off and check all the connections. If it's been taken off before "re-seating" it can cause the display to not work properly any more. So make sure the overhead console is correctly installed.
