Found a pair of power seats in the JY in a '92 Laredo today. I also have a '92 Laredo, but with manual seats. Questions follow:
Do all Jeeps have the power seat feed and plug under the carpet, or do I need to follow and remove the power feed wires under the carpet in the donor Jeep?
The donor Jeep interior is dark red. Mine is gray. Has anyone used the new Krylon paint for hard plastics? How is it?
I will need to switch my gray cloth seats for the dark red leather ones from the donor Jeep. Are the seat frames, especially the base, the same? Direct swap?
On a slightly different note, are the '87 XJ and '92 XJ seat track floor pan bolts the same? In other words, will '92 seats swap directly into an '87?
Advice and experience appreciated. Thanks.

I'll answer my own question.
Went back to the JY today to pull the seats. After unbolting and unplugging the seat(s), found a wire with plug sticking up out of the carper below each seat. Cutting the carpet while I backtraced the wire, I discovered that the two sides T into each other under the console. Going a little farther upstream, I found another plug where the seat feed jumper harness plugs into.
I had the remove the entire console to get to this area.
I hope all Jeeps have at least the plug on the main harness under the console. If they do, I'm good to go.
I'll probably retrofit thse power seat bases onto my '87 Pioneer's orginal seat bottoms and backs. A nice upgrade!
