Default Power mirrors

Has any put the newer mirrors on an older XJ? I have a 91 Laredo and I got some off of a 98 and bolted them up and it is only 4 wires and only one different color but I cant get it to work. I wired them up blue to blue, green to green, yellow to yellow, and gray to green. But I only got it to work if I pushed it to move them in and out it would go up and down. Any ideas?

I done it.
Have yet to try to wire it up.
How did you hide the plug? Mine just hang out. I don't see how they will fit behind the door panel.

Well I cut the plug because the plugs were different and I was trying with the door panel off just with the wires out to figure it out. lol I was just ganna connect them in the door. But I need to figure it out. I can only get up and down to work when I push left and right. lol

I have nothing to offer here ... I did this on my XJ about 3 years ago and never figured out how to wire them up. But it's not necessary unless you move your mirrors a lot. Even so, power mirrors just snap into position. Set 'em & forget 'em.
