Default Power loss

Hi everybody I'm having some issues with my 95 cherokee 4.0. It idles fine with no obvious miss fires. While driving it looses all power at around 2000 rpm. With no bucking or cutting out just no power. The check engine light also has yet to come on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

If just cut off like you shut it off with the key it is very possible that you CPS is going out.

No it doesn't shut off, just no horse power. Top speed going up a mountain is like 35 mph. I never had this problem previously. It used to have plenty of power. I had just recently replaced the cps. Because of it shutting off. As soon as I hit around 2000 rpms it just dosnt have any more go. Thanks for the reply
