OK. I have a 97 Cherokee with PDL. About a week ago the door locks took on a mind of their own and started randomly locking and unlocking. I pulled the fuse and put it back in and the same thing happenned. I looked in the right front kick panel and didnt find any obvious shorts. So after tinkering, the PDL wont work at all. No blown fuses. None of the doors will work now. Any ideas?

Sometimes wires have issues where they go through to the door. Is all I got. Switches fail of course.

 

I am having the same issue and can't figure it out. I have stopped using the power locks and just lock and lock them manual and it has seemed to "calm them down"

 

Im going to replace the switch assy (ouch) and see if that fixes it.

one of the wires may have come loose in the connecter. it mite make good contact here and there and thats why that lock and unlock on there own.. hope this helps
