Default Potentially stupid question.

I'm in the middle of replacing my oil pan [there was a hole in it], and doing my oil filter adapter O rings.

I didn't remove the oil pump or the pickup tube.

Do I have to re-prime the oil pump before starting it up?

Good to know. I wasn't sure, since I didn't touch the oil pump or the pickup tube at all. I figured it'd be a bit like a...really slow oil change, and you don't have to prime anything after one of those. Of course, they don't normally take...two and a half days to perform.

No such thing as a stupid question, just an "uninformed question" and that's why we are all here
