Default is this possible?

so, after taking apart my locks and greasing every moving part individually, my FD door and RP door still won't lock through the lock button on the driver door. the RP door locks about 20% of the time and FD door will lock about 2% of the time. the lock motors on both doors make a noise, but the switch doesn't move. i'm thinking there's a worn down wire and it's barely connecting, so the juice that passes through is not enough to actuate the lock, but just enough to make the lock motor make an attempt to move. any ideas?
