popping noise/steering
i have a 91 cherokee laredo that has some play in the steering wheel(maybe an inch or 2) and when i turn the wheel, there is a popping noise. also my steering wheel is crooked(sometimes), like sometimes i will hear that pop and my steering wheel will be straight and then it will do it again and my steering wheel is not straight. when driving, i have no pull to left or right when i let go of the steering wheel, even if its crooked at the time. what could this be? steering knuckle? bushings? ball joints? i haven't really looked at anything underneath, mostly cause i dont know what exactly im looking at. please give me some of your ideas/opinions. thanks in advance!

Steering wheel can be centered easily by simply adjusting the draglink (adjusting collar/sleeve).
As far as the popping is concerned, check the frame-side trackbar mounting bolts and tie-rod end. At the axle check for excessive movement in the bushing and/or a wallowed out hole in the mount.
