popping noise
recently i've noticed in my jeep that when i turn the wheel all the way to one side or the other my front driver side wheel makes a popping noise. I recently forgot to tighten the lug nots and had the wheel fall off while driving i know that has something to do with it i replaced the rotor which was the only thing noticably damaged. i worry that i may have over exstended the shock and cracked it. i have a complet stock set up with all original parts if anyone could maybe help me figure out what this is so i don't worry that i'm gonna die when i drive my jeep.

Maybe a U-joint? Think about the parts of the system that were shock-loaded.. what has bearing or bushings that might have become damaged. Also look up "death wobble" as many cherokees suffer front end problems through wear and tear and the hit might have made a slightly noticeable problem, pronounced.
BTW my first thought was the teraflex high steer system. It replaces the assembly on the end of the axle... dont know much about it, Ive only seen pictures of the product. My logic is if it costs $100 to fix it and $120 to make it better, stronger and more appealing to future buyers.. the part/improvement will pay for itself through your use and resale.. in whole or parted out..
either way, replace all the wheel/hus assembly bolts on the side that took the hit.. that will be the piece of mind that secures your safty.
All my best.
UPDATE: I just saw that you have a 91 2 door just like me... seriously look over the death wobble research.. its named that for a reason! Sorry...
