I'm going with control arms I hear that same type of noise shortly after I went in for a front end alignment after I put new tires on and the guy mentioned trailing arm bushings which he obviously ment control arms are bad.

I have had the track bar replaced twice and I still get the pop you mentioned I originally thought it could have been the break caliper but no I also wondered if it could be something to do with the coil springs.

one thing to note that if it is the control arms and you take it on the highway at 60 and hit a random bump it could be a ride you will never forget severe death wabble

If you do look into replacing control arms if you determin that could be a problem I would recommend going with the moog problem solver you can get both for around 55$ at the link below

Mine was popping when backing up turning, then again once going forward and turning in the other direction. I tightened everything and looked over everything. Turned out to be the passengers wheel bearing I had replace a year before. Wheel was tight when trying to move it by hand, but the torque on the ground was enough to make it pop.

This. . .and again in 5000 miles. Also have some one turn or drive slowly (whatever causes the popping) so you can be in front to pin point where it's coming from. Could be a lot of things but finding where it's coming from will narrow it down. Trac bar, sway bar bushings, tre, u js, d pitman arm...Lots of candidates under there

From how it felt like something was hitting the floor beneath my feet, maybe it is the CA bushing. If I can find a spot that isn't all slushy, I'll check it out.

Pops and squeaks will eventually drive u insane looking for the culprit. They can cost a but load of $ replacing parts as well. Believe me I been there. Lol!

I had that feeling once. Turned out my axles u js were loose and when I accelerated the shafts was slightly bumping on the flowmaster. Sye put the right angles and it went away. Slim chance that's the same for you

I have the same issue with mine but mine only happened when I hit a pothole or nail the brakes really hard. It feels like someone smacked the floor pan in front of my feet with a hammer. Loud pop. Very inconsistent. Absolutely maddening.

That sounds like control arm bushings. And to the op, if it sounds like banging on the floor it's either upper CA bushings or trans mount. I had about 6 of the 8 bushings in my front arms that were shot. Thjmping on the floor is one issue I had. Also if I started rolling a little and jammed the brakes my axle would actually shift. The two upper bushings on the axle were done. And the upper frame sides make a lot of noise.

Default Well, same here!

I just got back from a 120 mile ice road trip to my home town and the road was not very forgiving. Jagged ice everywhere sure made a lot of confusing and concerning problems that I must look at/repair. I've been looking through Quadratec and seen that they have polyurethane replacement bushings. Q: has anyone on this post ever tried these or something similar? I've also got a loud knock in the rear on both sides. Q-tec also has polyurethane replacements too. Would you guys recommend these or go with stock rubber? Thanks, Curtis This is how most of it was but there were a lot of bad places. Imagine riding over football sized rocks at 8-10 mph only not so sharp on the edges.

Our weather went from -27F straight to 30s and rain. I still haven't been able to get underneath and check.

Hitting the brakes does absolutely nothing for the sound, neither does turning or hitting bumps. I can now feel the jeep pull to the right slightly when it pops. There's a hum at 35mph (I've stayed off the highway because of all this). I'm starting to think wheel bearing.
