Default Popping/Clunking Sound In Suspension>>>Please Help

oK so i have a problem. when i put my XJ into 4WD and get on the gas at all or get off-camber at all it makes a popping/clunking sound when i try to move. the spider gears/axle gears were welded so i thought maybe the weld was breaking loose so i replaced the entire front axle but it still made that sound. so i thought maybe the front driveshaft yoke was spinning on the shaft itself so i replaced the front driveshaft but it still makes the sound. so ive come to the conclusion its not coming from anywhere in the driveline since it only happens in 4WD and ive replaced all the driveline components in the front. so my only other thought is it has to be in the front suspension but for the life of me i cant figure out what is going on. anyone else have this issue or know what its doing? any help would be great. thanks.

What you're looking for is a worn bushing. Check them all for cracks and anywhere metal is close to being in contact with metal. What you're hearing when you get on it is a metal piece torqueing over and hitting another metal piece that ordinarilly would have a nice bushing between them.

check the sway bar linkages...if its those it should do it in 2wd tho two, but just for fun, check the bushings there bc i have a friend with a 94 XJ and every time he wheels it clunks when its going over bumps or flexed to much, and its his spring clipping the swaybar linkage...

but if it doesnt do it in 2 wd, then that may not be it

I had to retighten all my joints where I had bushings. Little hit go to urethane bushing and all perfect now. and make sure your suspension and everything is tighented really good.
