Ok here's one that has me baffled. My 95 XJ has begun popping and clunking when I drive it, but only when the temp gauge is just below to just above the first temp marks. I have watched the exhaust, checked the plugs, checked the ignition components and I'm not seeing anything that tells me what it's problem is. no check engine light, it will almost stall, but give it gas and it takes a second to respond, but goes, and if the rpms are kept above 1500, it doesn't do it. Anybody had this issue and figured it out?

Carbon buildup on the valves, dirty cps,,,,,,,,

 

CPS is new or well almost new about 20k on it. Was just out not long ago cuz tranny was done, motor has 7k on rebuild including head, I'm thinking fuel issue, but most everything is new. Does anyone know what ohms the injectors are supposed to test out at? How about 02 sensors, any way to test them? I know my Jeeps, but this has me baffled.

 

Ok, just cuz it was suggested, tested CPS today, meter read OL which means no resistance and is working correctly. Anyone else?
