96 xj sport 4x4 she's idling bad stalling bucking idles up to 1500 in park and neutral sometimes. I want to change tps, iac, o2 sensors, but i want to know if anyone knows exactly which one it is so i don't have to buy a bunch. It'll start fine sometimes. Sometimes i have to floor it to get it started. It idles high in park and neutral. It only recently started stalling. Acceleration is horrible bucking and what not. Please help need her to get to work. And now she won't start

Try cleaning the IAC and throttle body.

Mine was doing similar things and I cleaned the throttle body, IAC, and replaced the TPS with a new OEM sensor. Now it runs like a dream.

Did you clean the IAC and throttle body? If not that would be my next step.

My 90 xj was running real rough, idle jumping up and down at randomn (sometimes so low it died) even a few times while accelerating. Cleaning the grounds helped a lot, but then I replaced the egr vac. Switch because mine was broken. That helped a lot because the egr pintle would move at idle causing a miss in the idle, failure of smog, and all that good stuff. Also cleaned the t.b. to new iac and every electrical connector I could. I'm still having problems but the egr switch helped a lot, and can be easily overlooked. Vaccum leaks alone can cause a lot of headache. I can't run a scan tool, but have you bothered to? Also, mine wouldn't start every morning for three days. Turned out to be a bad spade connector on the green wire running to the starter relay thing by the battery that has a bunch of grounds and wires connected to it. Just had to wiggle the wire. The jeep makes NO noise when that is bad cuz the starter can't give the signal to start the car. I laugh at how freaked out I can get only to find out the solution is cheap or free, and most of the time simple. Jeeps are awesome.
