so...we drove my buddies 94 xj about 70 miles just fine, pulled into a gas station in the middle of nowhere we came out and now it wont start! not getting fuel. its like the fuel pump isnt getting power...would a fuel pump go out like that? its like its not getting power to it.... any suggestions would help! we checked relays and fuses but no dice.... stranded nowhere near an auto store! please help

 

How low on gas were you. ive heard of pumps burning out because the gas was constantly low. The gas cools them and i believe lubes them.

 

Yes the fuel pump can just randomly go out...sounds like that might be your problem..id call a wrecker if your nowhere near an auto parts store.Gl bro
