i have to make a run to the local junkyard to get an engine computer for my 97 grand cherokee. my cherokee has a factory alarm.
does the computer i get also have to be from a vehicle with a factory alarm???
what is the easiest way to identify if junkyard jeep has security???

Sorry I don't know about how to ID the ECM, but it does, as far as I know, need to be an exact replacement from doner vehicle.
