Exclamation Please Help

Hi, i'm not sure where to post this since i'm new, but my parents recently gave me their 1995 Jeep Cherokee Country. It's in really great condition and i even just replaced the headliner. The driver seat is powered by switches to move it. The seat is all the way up and i need to move it back, when i hit the switch the motor runs but nothing happens, it just spins. Please help?

Sounds like stripped gears. Probably easiest to grab a regular seat track out of a boner jeep.

Is there anyway to move it back manually? i just need to move it back all the way because i'm tall and my short mom had it all the way up. I just need to move it once and never mess with it again.

You are going to have to pull the seat to adjust it by hand, might as well replace the gear drive while it's out. Scrapyard part.

If I couldn't get it to move I'd probably pull it out and have a look. It might be pretty clear with it upside down.
