Default Please explain to me the stroker 4.0 internals

Hi to all,

I'm just curious- when there's talk of a stroker 4.0 motor- what are the internal engine components used? Stock 4.0 block and head? Doesn't the 258 head have a larger combustion chamber volume? What are the differences on the stroke of the two cranks? What are the length differences of the rods? Piston wrist pin height? (compression height).

When this motor is built; what is the compression ratio?

If the throw of the crank is longer, what do you do to change the injector pulse width?

What about the cam? It will need to have a longer duration to compensate for the longer travel in the cylinder. Maybe the change is insignifiant, but fuel injected engines can be finikey sometimes

Thanks for the input.

^x2 that site is the bible for any and all Jeep stroker information. Be prepared to read ALOT, but you will emerge a wiser man about all that is stroker.
