Default Pinion Seal confusion

I've read quite a few threads on replacing the seal, so I know "how", but don't "which."

I have a 2001 4WD Cherokee Sport. Does it have a Dana 30? I don't even know what that means, honestly. The local auto store has the following listed for my truck:

National Oil Seal P/N 710461 Front Axle; Outer; Spicer 30-AF 7.125" R.G
National Oil Seal P/N 710480 Rear Axle; Outer; Chrysler 8.25" R.G

I'm only replacing the front diff's seal, but I've read there are two choices. Even though one of the part descriptions I listed says, "Rear Axle," I just wanna make sure this is not the one I need. Store descriptions have been wrong before.

So the questions are:
1) Will one of these likely be the right one for my Jeep?
2) What's a Dana 30 and how do I know if that's what I have?
3) What is the Jeep/Chrysler OEM P/N?

Thanks

You have a Dana 30 front axle and either a Dana 35 or Chrysler 8.28 rear axle.

You answered your own question. You said you're only replacing the front seal. You listed 2 seals, one for the front and one for the rear. lol You need the first seal you posted. All xj's have a D30 front axle from the factory (just for future reference).

I knew the definition. I wanted to know what part number Jeep/Chrsyler assigned to the seal they installed at the factory. Thanks though.

Thanks to everyone else too.

I picked up the first one on my list from Advance Auto of $7 (-20% with an online coupon), but if it turns out not to workout, I'll go to Napa and get the one you bought.
