Smile A pillar interior trim

Hi everyone
I noticed both of my a-pillars clips are broken and the plastic inserts are broken too. Can I just take the whole piece of trim out and leave it like that.

I dont see why you couldnt its just a trim piece. It will look ugly but most i would say is maybe it holds some wires in from dangling in your face.

On my '00 pretty sure wires just run down the passenger side for the dome light and lighted visors.

Why not repair or replace the trim?

The hidden back-side metal clips that hold the trim parts to the interior on my ZJ break off. My solution is to epoxy the clips onto the trim.
