Hi all,
Went to change my 87 Cherokee Power Steering pump and after removing pump notice that the lower radiator hose was bout ready to blow. Drained radiator using the petcock and went to re-install it into radiator. Petcock bottomed out fine in the hole and tightened but the petcock stil moves in the hole. It will rotate clockwise and counter clockwise a couple of degrees. I've never had a petcock do this before and I'm assuming the radiator will leak because of this. Anybody ever come across this before and if so what did you do. Don't want to replace the radiator just yet!! Thanks all!

petcock valves do this all the time, the "T" part will actually turn on the valve a bit until it grabs. You should be able to just replace the valve, I don't think it's part of the radiator. Coach
