PDC Fuse F18 keeps blowing
1996 Jeep Cherokee SE 4.0L
When my jeep heats up for awhile, if I turn it off, when I start it again the check engine light comes on and a 15 amp mini blade fuse in the PDC blows. Also happens when I'm driving for awhile. I looked in my manual and it shows a completely different PDC, looked online but still have no idea what the fuse even does. According to the diagrams I saw it's F18 and controls ASD Coil. But my jeep starts and runs, although it stalls occassionally, so how could it be. If I could find out what the fuse does, I'd have a place to start.

Hi,
Thanks freegdr, I only have dial up internet service up here, so it's a real pain.
The second picture the top right blue 15 amp fuse, right below the relays.
1 up and 1 over from the one circled.

Fuse 18 in the PDC powers low washer fluid level switch, backup lamp switch MT only, evap/purge solenoid, park/neutral position switch 4.0L and AT only, ac clutch relay and radiator fan relay.
This is the wiring for a 96 Jeep Cherokee SE 4.0L
That code 31 I believe has to do with the evap/purge solenoid.

Thanks everyone. I pulled the pdc and the first thing I saw were wires that finally matched a diagram I had.
Althought it's listed as a an ASD fuse, it actually is the evaporation purge solenoid fuse. Thanks ET JEEP. By the way the ASD fuse is #20.
I appreciate all the help and will let you know how it turns out.
