Passenger Door Window Troubleshooting

I need some help zeroing in on a problem with my passenger window not working. Yesterday the wife and I were out and her window would not go back up either with her switch or mine (driver master). I tried the child safety switch on and off. We had to drive home with the window all the way down, it was 16F.

I got it home and got ready to start tearing off door panels, etc. I tried yanking on the rubber boots between both driver and passenger doors while the passenger switch was held in the up position…nothing. I banged on the door panels near the switches with the switches in the up position, again nothing. I have found and repaired broken wires in the boot at the driver’s door in the past. All of the other windows would go up and down from the master switches and at the doors except the passenger front window.

While the garage was warming up I started searching forums and Google and I found a ton of links to problems with the passenger window not operating at the door but would operate at the master. I decided to take a break from searching and try it again. The window switch worked as well as the master. I operated the window up and down at least 100 times at both switches and was unable to make it fail again. I’d like to fix this potential problem as it’s still cold here (2F now).

What’s your best guess as to where I should start looking?

In my travels I found a couple of links that might be of interest to you guys:

I had a similar problem with the keyless entry screwing with things from the passenger side. I'm not sure if you have the keyless entry but it might be worth testing? I couldn't figure it out so I took the jeep to a shop and that's what they said it was...

Interesting, I stopped using mine recently because it ate batteries and I needed to be about 3" from the Jeep to work. I'll check and see if there is a stand alone fuse and pull it, thanks.
