When I drive around, (sounds like) the doors will lock and unlock. This problem happens a lot, and is extremely annoying. Especially when I stop for gas, stretch the legs on a long drive, etc., and shut the door. Then I'm locked out! Now I keep a spare key in my wallet.

I thought maybe its related to the automatic safety locking system that happens when you first pull away (approx. 3mph). However, that's not the case since this system isn't installed on the old Cherokees (XJ).

I took off the door panel on the passenger side, and when I move a couple of wires in the actuator, the lock system goes crazy. Locking, unlocking, locking, etc. Is this a simple fix? I'm a paper pusher (accountant) not a mechanic, so fixing something electrical is mind boggling for me.
