Default Pass door will not unlock-01

So 2001....the left pass door will not unlock electrically from remote fob or main lock- unlock switch. The solenoid clicks and tries to open. I also cannot move manual control past 1/2 unlock with more than normal hand force. No key in back doors. I removed the screw in the door handle panel but the panel doesn't want to come off the main door panel and im not ready to break it yet. I don't think I can get the main door panel off with the door closed. Is there a trick im missing..thanks

Left passenger door....? Driver side rear door then?

In any case all four door panels can come off from the inside without opening the door (this goes for all years 84-01)

Not saying its easy but ive done this myself. Your likely dealing with sticky door latches or mechanisms.

Rear doors i would first off remove the rear seat bottom which comes off simply enough by releasing the latching tab on the passenger side then lifting the seat up and out. With the door closed this will be a bit congested but doing soo from the trunk area with the bottom seat cushion flipped up will make it easiest.

Utilizing an interior trim removal tool would be best but a gasket scraper will do the trick as well. After removing any and all door handle or arm rest screws you'll pop the bottom most edges of panel and then work your way up until they are all free.

Yes, thanks...given enough motivation and cold ones....I was able to pop off the left rear door cover from the inside. I then disconnected both lock and handle rods from the delicate plastic mechanisms without damage. Even man-handling both rods, i could not get the door to release. I sprayed a canful of PB Blaster lube on the aft side of the door mechanism and 20 minutes of shifting rids back and forth...the door opened. Its an ugly brown mess inside there and you really can't see that part of door until you get it open to get your head in there. Luckily I didn't seem to break anything plastic. Will spray it all down again tomorrow with some thicker fluid film and put it back together. That window doesn't go down from its own switch but it works from drivers door so I will get a new one before I screw it all back together..Thanks
