Stock XJ Cherokee Tech. All XJ Non-modified/stock questions go hereXJ (84-01)
All OEM related XJ specific tech. Examples, no start, general maintenance or anything that's stock.
The original part numbers point to new part numbers and its not clear which is the correct Dorman/Crown/Aftermarket Part, so I picked up the Mopar and documented the updated part numbers. These part numbers work with the 91-93 stock 4.0 Cylinder head. The Mopar's will cost you more, each items is between $11-$15. If you notice, the elbows have clips and they twist on and off to lock into place, this looks different that what the later XJ's used.
Updated part numbers as of 2018, hope this can save you some time.
PCV (front elbow) 53030591
Hose to Air Intake 53006239
CCV (rear elbow) 53030492
Hose to other stuff 53030726

Thank you for posting.
I had planned to do the same and forgot after having ordered incorrect parts and local parts houses not being able to find the correct turn to lock elbows.
Anyhow, it’s interesting that the 91-93 xj’s have slightly different parts here and there and most companies lump these years in with others and they don’t fit. It’s usually little things like vacuum parts, serpentine belts, belt tensioner collar, wiring diagrams etc.
ill be be more diligent posting in the future when it comes to these types of parts.
This was difficult for me to wrap my head around. The rear ccv hose was the first thing I noticed needing replacement in my engine compartment on my '01. Part # for my jeep ended up being the same 53030726 as yours but it's different! You can see in
that it doesn't have the second host sprouting from it. You'll also notice the price difference... only other option is the dealership who was asking $65. I've heard elsewhere on the forum they have asked for even more!
Thank you, been looking around for these for a while, and here it was on the forum. I am wondering if it would be possible to convert a 91-93 CCV system to use the gromets like later years
