Default P0720 output shaft speed sensor

Ok so I bought my 99 Cherokee with a check engine light on. I pulled it and it says it is a p0720 out shaft speed sensor. I have looked this up and see other people change out the sensor but it never seems to fix the problem. I never see anyone put a resolution either. My jeep seems to run pretty slowly so I don't know if it's in limp mode or what or if it's just normal. Either way I would like to fix the check light. I have saw it seems to be the sensor that actually screws in and has a top to it that would be tightened with a wrench. I can't seem to find the sensor I would need when looking online on auto part stores.

Do you have a quality digital Volt/Ohmmeter, and know how to use it?

If so, I can post some info so you can check the OSS at the TCM connector.

Okay,

Here's a pin out of the TCM connector w/description of the circuits associated with the pin cavities. And a checklist of the various checks you can do at the TCM connector.

Use safety pins to probe the TCM connector pin cavities to free up your hands.

You're interested in the resistance of the OSS.

Do step 2., 2. on the checklist for the test.
