no problem, it just shows up, check engine light on? meaning, shifter?,contacts?

Won't know until you look. I'd start with the easy work first though.
-check the NSS wires and connectors
-clean its connectors
-adjust it
-clean it
-replace it if the first things don't fix the issue.

I believe it was Cruiser54 who did the first four things and everything was good for a bit. Things went south and he found it was a worn out contact in the NSS.
