one plastic line is the fuel tank vent. The other line goes to the purge valve. Then from the valve to the intake. Pull the valve...and cap the intake line. Put a filter on the tank vent line.
and does a vac line run directly to the valve from the intake, so i can cap it at intake once located or is it part of a larger vac system? Is this all under the hood?
thanks.
thanks.

First off I have a 00 and this is the research I’ve done to delete mine. I’m turning my Jeep into a SXS that will never be on the road so I’m not concerned about CEL. The research I have tells me that you shouldn’t have a CEL but individual results may vary. I do not have a CEL.
I removed the canister under the heap by the tank. The metal bracket was rotted out. I put a small filter on gas tank vent. I relocated the filler neck as well which removed the line from the fill neck to the canister underneath. Removed the two lines that run back to the under the hood. Capped intake hose that goes to the solenoid. Removed solenoid.
I got must of the info from a different forum. Search using goggle and it will bring it up

1 cannister next to tank with fill and tank connections 2 lines up to solenoid/purge valve underhood and 1 line straight to intake manifold. so im just goin to disconnect vac line at manifold and cap. then disconnect solenoid purge electrics.
dont mind cel and no state emis. any electrics to tank cannister> ill get under it tommoro and take a look. i think im gonna sell this and get an older 4x4 without computer.
so i will leave intact as much as possible. I do like this six it seems to be bulletproof and sounds good at 5 grand! might push a little hydroplane real nice...maybe ill part this 99 or swap in an old amc V8...build the 6 for a roundy round hydro...it will sound wicked goin thru the turns...could sell as a roller no motor. ok im ramblin any thoughts, im open to suggestion. thanks again, i just dont like computers. no fun, you cant get them wet!

rubber elbow into rear tank cannister rotten. Under the hood passenger side firewall area...
two solenoid/purge valve cannisters ? on either side of ac tank are unplugged from wiring harness. vac Line to manifold disconnected , cap on manifold barb.
guess ill connect all and rescan...
