Default P0132 - O2 Sensor - High Voltage - B1S1

Blah. Driving to work and check engine light pops on.

After work, pulled the diag code, P0132. Got home, tried to get that f'n sensor off... PB soak, lotsa twister moves, etc.

Lost 2 knuckles and 1/2 a backslap when my socket sheared the wratchet post off.

Any suggestions on getting the sensor off? It feels like it's welded in.

Have an old (bought a year ago) upstream sensor from AutoZone waiting somewhere in the garage.

On my older Jeep I can cut the wires and put a 7/8 box on it. Heat and a "sharp shot" might help. I mean sometimes something siezed will crack loose if you can smack the wrench while applying torque.

Ya' know...the O2 sensor has a 12V feed for it's heater, then deals with a 5V feed from the puter'. "high voltage", just might be wires touching. Something to watch for anyway. That's all I've got. Others here might be more help!

If you don't have access to a torch drive your jeep until your exhaust is hot hit the sensor (since you will be replacing it anyway) to try to loosen it up try spraying pb and also make sure you have a very good wrench or socket what ever you prefer and obviously make sure it's a six point so nothing get striped more then it has

I just did mine the other day, put a wrench on it and whack it with a hammer, took 3 good shots and broke free, do drive it for about 10-15 mins to heat it up first

Thanks for all the suggestions. I pulled the wires, re-termed one, and reseated them. Cleared the code and it hasn't come back for 100ish miles.

I love the Torque app.

Cool. Do you think they were touching?
