Overheating when idle

I know your gonna get this from a lot of people so I'm gonna do it as politely as I can. There is lots of info on this topic you just need to search a bit. I my self had the same problem that I finally fixed last week. First thing I would check is you fan clutch. It should be easier to spin with the engine cold and harder to spin when the engine is hot. I would replace this first and see if that works

I'm going to try to read between the lines, for safety sake for the OP, and suggest that if one does not know how a clutch fan functions (or how old the fan clutch is), just replace it with new (+/-$35).
