Went ahead and got a Radiator, Raditor cap/hoses, fan clutch and water pump on the way. Going to get a mopar tstat locally.

If it does fail the block test and I have a head issue at least I can replace it all at once (if I don’t have any other major damage) and if it passes then I’ll have everything on hand to replace components once I complete a thorough flush.

Got everything (excluding tstat) for less than $175 with free two day shipping from amazon.

So have you checked the e-fan to be sure it is kicking on once it reaches 210 or if you turn on the AC that is probably the issue???? I ended up putting my E-fan on a switch so I could use it when ever I am pulling a steep grade or 4 wheeling, but mine is a '91so there is no problem with it throwing codes from doing that. They say wiring it that way on the newer Xj's can cause problems with the check engine light cause of feed back.

So after doing all the work mentioned above I’ve been driving the Jeep with no issues for a couple weeks now until today. I pulled up after lunch and was just sitting in the Jeep with it idling and the AC on. Temp was about 215, I cut it off and as soon as I did my lower radiator hose blew loose from the water pump. Other than a loose hose clamp any ideas on this? Not sure why it didn’t happen long before now if I it was just a loose clamp. My motor mounts seem like they are definitely shot, could the jolting of bad mounts cause it to pull off?

Yep, bad motor mounts leads to excessive vibration. The vibration could cause the clamp to back off or the hose to pull a bit. 215 is probably because the pressure was reduced by the hose being loose.Tighten up the hose, fill and burp the system and you should be fine with the cooling. Definitely replace the motor mounts if they are shot, the excessive vibration can easily cause a crack in the exhaust manifold and then you'll be replacing that too.

And about 500 other probes. Vibrations are a nasty thing.
