Sorry I ain't been on here but I've flushed it about 5 times and it ran put some nasty stuff but finally filled it up with anti freeze and ran it till I ran it out of gas then checked it and it hasn't overheated since the flushes. But still have some particals floating around so I'm still loosening all the gunk out.

I drove it for about 20 minutes yesterday and it started boiling over and was reading about 230. Anyone else have other opinions? Could it be because running no thermostat?

No, not having a thermostat will not cause it to overheat. It will just make it take longer to get up to temperature.

I haven't read the whole thread, so maybe this has been covered, but have you replaced your radiator cap yet? A weak cap can let things boil over.

You may also have sludge still floating around and grunging things up.

Question for ya, when your jeep starts to heat up (going past the 210 mark), does your heater blow hot or cold air?

It has a new cap. And the heat blows pretty warm air but not hot

Reason i asked is because when my jeep blew the headgasket the heater would blow cold air when it passed 210. I was being stubborn and i was broke and kept driving it, repairs was a new gasket, new head, then i noticed my block was cracked. Just a tip, fix it before it is to late.

I think the head or head gasket could be bad because when I pull the dipstick out it has some grimmy stuff on the tip but its not milky at all
