I am having a problem with my 1996 4.o straight 6 overheating during normal driving I have already replaced the thermostat with a brand new 180* one and have replaced the coolant and oil. I just wanted to make sure I know what to check and possibly replace so please feel free to add or subtract from my list
so check
water pump
fan clutch
radiator cap
fan shroud
thermostat
coolant quality
oil quality
radiator
flush out cooling system
does all that sound about right?

 

Sounds about right.

 

All except you should be running a 195deg t-stat.
