The xj I'm restoring right now is a 95/sport, 4.0L bone stock.
The parts car is a 92/4.0L with kinds of interior goodies that I want to transfer over to the 95. The 92 has the overhead console with the 4 lights, sunglasses storage and LED compass, Is there a way of installing that console in the 95 without replacing the computer

First trying to find a an overhead console, is incrediblely hard (I looked for over a year, for mine. All i needed was the temp/compass module out it. Moper parts still sell them, but there $695.00. A bit steep for me, for a yr. old part.) Seeing you stated restoring, which is what I'm doing. Yes, it will fit. all the wiring should be up under the headliner already. In fact grab every out of 92' including wire harness, and mounting brackets. ( they did change styles in 93') I myself would sell the 92' model on e-bay, going prices around a $100.00. And pick up a 95' model. Which are more common, and little cheaper. Seeing how your restoring it. Then replace the always sagging headliner, and the overhead console at the same time. (with org. color material) which you can find on the INTERNET. If you don't have lighted sun visors grab them too. (wiring is already there) For far as I've known those options where only offered on the Limited, or the Briarwood at the time. Good Luck
