Strangely enough, on my way home tonight, my thermostat was reading 100*. I haven't made any attempts to gothrough the wiring just yet. Nor, do I have a thermostat hooked up to it. But, the compass side still does not light up.

Default Imagine that

So it's been in the Jeep for a while. Initially, nothing was working correctly; none of the lights would function unless the doors were open, nor did the display work. After about three weeks, all the lamps had started working as they should. But, still no display. I was on my way home tonight and happened to look up, only to see a segment lit on the temp side. I hit the comp/temp button and bam the display comes on. Of course, the temp doesn't work as I don't have a sensor mounted. But, it was reading 00 instead of NO. Now, I just have to figure out how to calibrate the compass; that is, if it lights up again.

Question: I got a second ambient temp sensor, to put in my air box and replace the one in the manifold... would that sensor work the same for the temp sensor? Or, are they absolutely different?

The one on the manifold is a intake air temp sensor. No they're not interchangable as far as I know.
