overhead console

I have searched but I did not come up with anything, but I know I have seen it here before.
Will 1997 overheade console fit a 1999 and are there any wiring modifacations.

My question is does yours/do all Cherokees have the metal "grip" pieces from the factory. The console is attached at the front with two screws ( which also hod the sunvisors ) and then has the lip the slips inside the headliner. Other than that is the two "grips" which hold the rear portion up. ( yes, I just complete a entire headliner restoration )

i just put a 97 into a 2000 and the wite connectors were not the same. had to clip them off and tie the wires together by matching colors. but it still works great. just a little more tedious
