Anyone know if the computers in these are fixable? Mine is suck showing NE? I would love to have that work. I think the outside temp is working but it seems low. Where are the sensors for both of these? Is the compass unit inside it on the board or is it external? Same with the temp does that one read off the air intake sensor? I would like to know if there is anyway to fix the compass and locate the temp sensor. It is a 94 btw.

They're not fixable. New ones from Jeep used to be about $650. I haven't had much luck finding a working one in a salvage yard.
I think they are just all getting old.

Your best bet is to find one (in working order) off of E-bay. But they used 3 different models. So look for one the same year as your console. I paid $60 for a console in bad shape (with working compass/temperature module) a couple of years ago. They where also used in other Chrysler vehicles, such as town and country vans, fifth ave, diplomat, so keep an eye out for those also.
