Default Original Steel Rims - Keep? Problem?

Other than they need a new paint job and some of the edges are a little mangled they seem to be ok but my inspection is just surface knowledge. Should I be replacing my original rims after 27 years from a functional standpoint?

Those original rims are probably worth their weight in gold. As long as the tire bead seals to the rim properly who cares. The only thing regarding functionality is keeping them balanced. One of my 30 year old originals has a pretty decent bend on the the edge from taking the Jeep for a flight off a mountain. I've never had an issue though.

Yes, they are dangerous and you should send them to me immediately for proper use I mean disposal. Same goes for the whitewall tires.

😆 You part of the snow family, I'm a snow. Nice jeeps! In that condition they are worth like 10-15 grand these days. Especially if you got it from a slow driving grandpa who thinks white walls are still cool!

It easier to make the old jeeps look like they did when new than it is to lift em and put monster tires on em. Plus, I am an old grandpa, snd I bought this one from another old grandma, who bought it new.

My grandpa snow was the coolest person I've known. Nice find! I can install a complete lift kit in a day. And that was on my 4runner with front independent suspension. Solid axles are easy. It looks good as is though. Enjoy your rig!
