Default Orifice on Vac Diagram - What is this?

Anyone know what this piece is supposed to look like and where I could get one?

The orifice is in the rearward fitting on-top of the valve cover with a tube going to intake manifold vacuum. You probably already have one. Napa is good for that CCV and vacuum harness stuff. There might even be some info for yours in my Renix stuff found in my sig.

Note from DJ
Is this the vacuum schematic for your 96 carbureted engine?

Nice catch DJ. On your prompt I finally saw "throttle kicker". (Hadn't actually looked before).

About any vehicle sold in the US is fuel infected after around 85 I think. (84?)
Anyway like I said, it's in the rear fitting there on the VC. 2.4 mm IIRC, or maybe 2,6. It's a planned on "vacuum leak", to make sure air/vapors are circulating through the crankcase. Without flow water and other unwelcome stuff makes a mess in there. The front vent to the air cleaner is intended to provide clean filtered air in. In reality, unless your are say, a miner in northern Canada, none of it works like that, but the job is still done, venting the crankcase.

If you're missing the orifice and just have a hose connection and think it's causing a problem you could get a small valve and start adjusting 'till the problem goes away.

Ideally someone will chime in and be able to give a size for the orifice, then you could get a carb jet or something else of the right size if the original isn't available. Might have to start scouring junk yards.

There were some stragglers. Close to home, AMC used a carb on the Eagle until the last of the 1988 models and the original Jeep Wagoneer had a carb through the end of its production run in 1991. I'm sure there were others.

No Kidding! I had thought it was federal smog something-or other. Much thanks. HEY I have a 65 Rambler rusting away here with nice glass and chrome, Btw. Not parted a bit, lenses, trim all here. Actually the rust isn't even chronic. Parked it around 94 when motor crapped.
